NHL Game Summary - NY Rangers at Washington

Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Eric Fehr scored the game-winner late in the third period as the Washington Capitals took a 3-2 victory over the New York Rangers on Friday.

Fehr had a goal overturned in the second period, but gave the team the lead with 5:09 to play for the Capitals, who had dropped four of six coming in. Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green also scored, while Philipp Grubauer stopped 38 shots in the win.

Carl Hagelin and Benoit Pouliot scored for the Rangers, who had won their previous two coming in. Cam Talbot made 31 saves in defeat.
