Aaron Gordon has a share of the team lead with 12 points at halftime for No. 1 Arizona, which leads No. 8 Gonzaga 47-34.

Gordon is shooting 5-for-6, including three slam dunks. The most impressive of these dunks came off a long lob pass from point guard Nick Johnson, which Gordon turned into a two-handed reverse jam:

Ronday Hollis-Jefferson also has 12 points. The Wildcats forced 11 Bulldogs turnovers in the first half while only committing one of their own, but Gonzaga holds a 20-12 rebounding advantage.

Aaron Gordon leads No. 1 Arizona into Sweet 16 by stifling No. 8 Gonzaga

Aaron Gordon had 18 points, six rebounds, six assists, and four steals to lead No. 1 Arizona to a breezy 84-61 victory over No. 8 Gonzaga. The Wildcats clinched the final Sweet 16 berth Sunday in the process.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson also scored 18 for the Wildcats, which became the third of four No. 1 seeds to advance. Nick Johnson (17 points), T.J. McConnell (12) and Gabe York (11) also finished in double figures.

Arizona built a 47-34 lead by halftime and extended its advantage with a 12-4 run at the start of the second half.

Przemek Karnowski scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Bulldogs, who missed the Sweet 16 for the sixth straight season. Gonzaga turned the ball over 21 times during the game and shot 40.7 percent from the field.
