Report: Scott Gomez meets with Sharks

UPDATE: According to Bret Hedican, Gomez was skating in a Sharks uniform, but doesn't have a contract as of yet.

Free agent forward Scott Gomez is in San Jose meeting with the Sharks, according to Bob McKenzie.

Gomez, who was placed on waivers by the Montreal Canadiens for the purpose of buying him out this week, may also meet with the Anaheim Ducks, according to Nick Kypreos.

Last season, the former 1998 first round pick by the New Jersey Devils scored two goals in 38 games.
