Report: Datsyuk to play in KHL all-star game

According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, Detroit Red Wings forward Pavel Datsyuk has been granted permission to play in the KHL All-Star game on Sunday.

There has been some debate over the last few days as to whether NHL players who had been playing in the KHL should be allowed to play in another league's all-star game. Datsyuk's agent, Gary Greenstin confirmed that Datsyuk will return to the Red Wings on January 14th. Datsyuk was somewhat of a sensation in the KHL this season, tallying 36 points in 31 games for CSKA Moscow.
