Bruins sign Lucic to 3-yr extension

According to a tweet from Hockey Central's Jeff Marek, the Boston Bruins have resigned forward Milan Lucic to a 3-year deal worth $6 million per season.

The deal would make Lucic the highest paid forward, per year, on a team that also just signed young sensation Tyler Seguin to a six-year extension earlier in the week.

Known for his tough style of play, Lucic has become a fan favourite for the Bruins, winning a Stanley Cup with the team in the 2010-2011 season. Last season, Lucic had 26 goals, 61 points, and 135 penalty minutes in 81 games played, including three points in the playoffs.

Lucic is heading into the last year of his current contract which sees him make $4.08 million per year. In 359 career games, Lucic has 90 goals and 212 points to go along with 525 penalty minutes.
