Canucks sign Alex Burrows to four-year extension

The Vancouver Canucks have signed left wing Alexandre Burrows to a four-year contract extension. The deal is worth $18 million for an average of $4.5 million per season, according to multiple sources.
Burrows, who is set to make $2 million in the upcoming season, will now be under contract through the 2016-17 season.
The 31-year-old registered 28 goals and 24 assists for 52 points with the Canucks last season. The Pincourt, Quebec native scored a career-best 35 goals in 2009-10. He also has 28 points in 58 career playoff games.
