Doan will re-sign with Coyotes once Jamison acquires team

Free agent forward Shane Doan says a deal between himself and the Phoenix Coyotes will be struck once prospective buyer Greg Jamison officially takes over the franchise, Doan told an Arizona radio station.

While terms of the deal are not known, Doan was reportedly offered $30 million over four years by the Buffalo Sabres earlier in the off-season.

The 35-year-old recorded 50 points in 79 regular season games with Phoenix last season, adding nine points and 41 penalty minutes in 16 playoff games. In 1198 career NHL contests, Doan has scored 318 goals and amassed 788 points over 16 seasons, all with the Coyotes/Jets franchise.
