The Wings are in discussion with the Flames about a potential deal for Bouwmeester, reports TSN.ca.

Analysis: J-Bo is apparently on the block because of the Dennis Wideman signing and there would be no better place for him to land than in Detroit. His sublime skating and calm demeanor would be a perfect fit in the Wings' puck possession game, and we might even see an uptick in offense as a result. This clearly bears watching.
