Hasek trains with Czech club while waiting for NHL deal

Former NHL goaltender Dominik Hasek, who is attempting an NHL comeback, has agreed to train alongside his hometown club, HC Pardubice of the Czech Extraliga, according to Yahoo! Sports.

"My goal is to return overseas, so I train here," Hasek said on the HC Pardubice facebook page. "I was on the ice after nearly a year and a half. It is an advantage that I can train in such a pleasant environment."

Hasek has not played in the NHL since the 2007-08 season, when he posted a 27-10-3 regular season record with the Detroit Red Wings. At 47 years old, Hasek would become the oldest goaltender in NHL history if he were to join a team.
