Report: Canucks fielding calls for Luongo and Schneider
The Vancouver Canucks are fielding calls about possible trades for both their goalies. After Roberto Luongo was displaced by Cory Schneider during this year's playoffs, many assumed Vancouver would look to move Luongo in the offseason. However a recent report suggests Vancouver is taking calls about both Luongo and Schneider.
The Toronto Maple Leafs are rumoured to be one of the teams that has called Vancouver. Canucks GM Mike Gillis said he has received "numerous" offers.
Schneider played the final three playoff games for Vancouver in their first-round series against the LA Kings after Luongo started and lost the first two. This season, Luongo had a .919 save % and a 2.41 GAA. Schneider posted a .937 save % and a 1.96 GAA.
Luongo signed a 12-year contract in 2009 worth $64 million. Schneider is a restricted free agent this offseason.
