Report: NHL rejects deal between Bruins, Kelly

The NHL has reportedly rejected the four-year deal between the Boston Bruins and forward Chris Kelly due to cap issues, according to Renaud P Lavoie of RDS.

Kelly's proposed deal with the Bruins was for$12 million over four years.

Kelly, 31, joined the Bruins in a trade from Ottawa in 2011.  He had spent six full seasons with the Senators prior to the trade.  Kelly recorded a career-high 39 points in 82 games with Boston last season.  He also had a plus/minus rating of +33, which was tied for third in the league.
