Report: Patrick Roy still candidate to coach Canadiens

Former goaltender Patrick Roy is still a candidate to coach the Montreal Canadiens, according to Phillipe Cantin of La Presse.
Despite earlier reports, general manager Marc Bergevin has not ruled out Roy as a candidate for the head coaching position vacated by Randy Cunneyworth when Bergevin took over as GM. Cantin also reports that Roy has not abandoned the idea either.
The current co-owner, general manager and head coach of the Quebec Ramparts of the QMJHL won Stanley Cups with the Canadiens in 1986 and 1993.
With Bob Hartley going to the Calgary Flames on Thursday, Michel Therrien and Marc Crawford remain other candidates to coach in Montreal.
