Selanne considering three options
Teemu Selanne is spending a large part of his summer back in Finland, and is considering three separate options for the upcoming NHL season.
Selanne recently spoke to Finnish newspaper Iltalehti after an on-ice workout session, and stated that he is fully healthy but has yet to make a decision about coming back to the NHL for a 22nd season. Calling it `the biggest decision of my career`, Selanne said that he has three clear options in front of him: return to Anaheim, play for another NHL team, or retire.
One of the major factors in play is the opportunity to play for Finland at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, which Selanne admits to being ``interested in``.
The newspaper report concludes that all indications are that Selanne will indeed return to the NHL, but it`s interesting to note that he appears to be seriously thinking about options outside of Anaheim.
