The Detroit Lions have selected offensive lineman Joe Dahl out of Washington State in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Dahl has the ability to play both tackle and guard and excels while in pass protection. The Lions have used this year's draft to bolster their offensive line, selecting tackle Taylor Decker and center Graham Glasgow with their first- and third-round picks, respectively. Because of this, Dahl will likely be used as a depth chip during his rookie campaign, with his versatility making him ideal for this role.
