Flacco relayed Saturday that the health of his left knee is improving by the week, Garrett Downing of the Ravens' official site reports. He further noted, "To be honest with you, I believe [I'm on track for training camp], but it's not like I've been told a timeline or anything like that. I can't really say one way or another. I can tell each week that by the end of the week I'm feeling sore and I'm hurting, and by the next Monday I'm feeling better than I did last Monday."

Analysis:

At the NFL owners meetings last month, head coach John Harbaugh stated his belief that Flacco is on track to be healthy by the start of training camp, which is a far-fetched opinion considering surgery was performed to repair a torn ACL in the quarterback's left knee on Dec. 8. In reality, Flacco is in danger of missing time at the outset of the upcoming campaign, after logging the first DNPs of his career following the season-ending injury. When healthy, though, he'll have some new toys to play with after the free-agent additions of Mike Wallace and Ben Watson.
