Sheldon Day Bio
Position: DT
School: Notre Dame
College Experience: Senior
Height: 6-1
Weight: 293 lbs.
Strengths
- Highly disruptive pass-rusher, whose athleticism was made evident with his ability to create pressure from a number of spots along Notre Dame's defensive front.
- Ideal fit for the three-technique spot in a 4-3 defense.
- Wins most often as a result of explosiveness to get upfield, lateral quickness, and relentless effort in getting to the quarterback.
Weaknesses
- Relative lack of size may make it difficult for him to take on an every-down role early in his pro career.
- Doesn't have length to keep opposition from getting inside his body and controlling position, particularly in the run game.
- Despite apparent fit as a pass-rush specialist, he managed just 7.5 sacks over four years at Notre Dame.
