The San Francisco 49ers have selected defensive end Ronald Blair out of Appalachian State in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Chip Kelly clearly saw the need to address the 49ers' defensive line in his first draft as head coach, as the club already added defensive end DeForest Buckner in the first round.

Blair certainly doesn't project to be the same player Buckner does, but his addition adds some impressive depth to the 49ers pass rush.
