The Baltimore Ravens have selected cornerback Tavon Young out of Temple in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Young was a star for a smothering Temple defense in 2015, registering 41 tackles and seven pass breakups.
Adding a player with Young's potential to one of the league's best secondaries is a quality depth move by general manager Ozzie Newsome and the Ravens.

Strengths
- Decent closing speed makes up for some of his errors at the line of scrimmage.
- Displays good ball skills and will try to record a turnover whenever the ball is in his vicinity.
- Will often get overpowered, but shows a willingness to help out in run coverage and won't shy away from contact.
Weaknesses
- Undersized for the professional game and will be picked on by larger wide receivers.
- Doesn't possess great straight-line speed for a player his size, and will need to rely on instincts at the professional level.
- Resorts to grabbing opponents if he gets beat off the line or overpowered, and will be a magnet for penalties in the NFL.
- Needs to improve footwork and decision-making, as he'll often get caught out of position.
