Raiders add DeAndre Washington to backfield in 5th round
Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY Sports
The Oakland Raiders have selected running back DeAndre Washington out of Texas Tech in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Washington represents a great pairing with Raiders starter Latavius Murray. The undersized rookie excels on passing downs, which should allow Murray to focus on running between the tackles on early downs.
The pick was announced from Mexico City, where the Raiders will play a "home" game in 2016.
