Ravens add to crowded backfield by selecting Kenneth Dixon

Chuck Cook-USA TODAY Sports

The Baltimore Ravens have selected running back Kenneth Dixon out of Louisiana Tech in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.

Dixon joins a backfield that includes Justin Forsett, Buck Allen, Lorenzo Taliaferro, and Trent Richardson. However, Dixon could carve out a role as a third-down pass catcher. With solid hands and agility, he could be dangerous in that role for the Ravens and ease the workload of Forsett, who'll turn 31 years old this season and broke his arm in 2015.
