Browns make Corey Coleman 1st receiver off the board

Jerome Miron-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Browns have selected receiver Corey Coleman out of Baylor with the 15th overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft on Thursday.

The franchise's new brain trust addressed a major need after trading down from No. 2 to No. 15 in multiple deals with the selection of the speedy receiver.

With an array of needs as a rebuilding team, including along the offensive and defensive lines, the Browns decided to give incoming head coach Hue Jackson an extra weapon to build his offense around.

While the Browns are still likely to select a quarterback, as things stand now, Robert Griffin III and Coleman could be called upon to take their Baylor connection to the NFL level.
