The Chicago Bears have selected running back Jordan Howard out of Indiana in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Howard is a power runner who will compete with Ka'Deem Carey to be the bell-cow back in Chicago with Jeremy Langford filling the role of speed back.
Chicago is expected to change its strategy for running back use after allowing Matt Forte to leave in free agency. Depending on his training camp, Howard could see a fair amount of playing time as a rookie, especially in short yardage situations.
