Cowboys' Bryant: I'd take Jalen Ramsey with 1st-round pick

Melina Vastola / USA TODAY Sports

Dez Bryant's pick is in.

Asked about the upcoming NFL draft at Friday's NBA matchup between the Dallas Mavericks and Golden State Warriors, the Dallas Cowboys' star receiver said he'd take Florida State defensive back Jalen Ramsey at No. 4 overall.

Though it's unclear whether teams envision Ramsey as a cornerback or safety, either way he'd fill a pressing need in a thin Cowboys' secondary.

As the top defensive back in this year's class, and arguably the No. 1 overall prospect, it's also possible he's long gone by the time Dallas is put on the clock.

Ramsey was a three-year starter on a consistently strong Florida State defense, and he earned consensus All-American honors last season after transitioning to cornerback full time.
