Eric Weddle is headed to Baltimore.

The longtime San Diego Chargers safety has agreed to a four-year free-agent deal to join the Ravens, the team announced Monday.

Official terms of the contract were not disclosed, but Weddle's deal is worth $26 million, reports Adam Schefter of ESPN.

"I couldn't be more excited and pumped to be a part of a championship organization who wanted me from Day One," Weddle told Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune.

A falling out with the Chargers all but ensured that his extended run with the team had come to end after the 2015 campaign and Weddle entered free agency this offseason as one of the league's most highly sought-after players.

The 31-year-old fills a substantial need for the Ravens in the secondary, where he can be expected to step into a role alongside fellow veteran safety Will Hill.

Weddle, a second-round pick back in 2007, produced at a high level for the better part of his nine seasons in San Diego.

He started in 122 of his 137 regular-season games over that stretch, recording an impressive 19 interceptions and earning three trips to the Pro Bowl.
