Mohamed Sanu: Signs with Falcons

The Falcons and Sanu agreed to terms of a five-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Sanu was slated to visit Atlanta and New England in the search for a new home, but the terms of the contract -- $32.5 million, with $14 million guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network -- likely made the decision an easy one. Moreover. Sanu will now work opposite another wideout from the class of 2011, Julio Jones, which should afford him plenty of chances to make a mark. In four seasons with the Bengals, Sanu accounted for 152 catches (on 251 targets), 1,793 yards, and 11 touchdowns in 57 games.
