The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, the team announced Thursday.

Sanu hit free agency after spending his first four years with the Bengals, and it wasn't long before Atlanta emerged as his likely destination.

The sides ultimately reached a five-year, $32.5-million deal that includes $14 million fully guaranteed, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Though Sanu's 2015 production isn't exactly encouraging - 394 receiving yards and no touchdowns - his versatility gives the Falcons a much-needed addition to the receiving corps alongside Julio Jones.

Sanu's career-best 2014 campaign is likely more indicative of the value Atlanta sees in him. He started 13 of his 16 games opposite A.J. Green that year, recording 56 receptions for 790 yards and five touchdowns.
