Travis Benjamin: Agrees to join Chargers

Benjamin has agreed to join the Chargers, the San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

Analysis:

Per ESPN's Adam Schefter, his deal is for four year and $24 million. Benjamin will thus head to San Diego after a breakout year in Cleveland that saw him catch 68 passes for 966 yards and score five touchdowns. He figures to slot in as the team's No. 2 receiver behind Keenan Allen and give QB Philip Rivers a reliable big-play wideout. The speedy Benjamin has also averaged 12.6 yards per punt return while taking three punts to the house in his career, so he figures to assume those duties for the Chargers as well.
