The Cincinnati Bengals are "closing in on a deal" to retain safety George Iloka, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

The deal is worth $30 million over five years, with $18 million to be paid over the first three years, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Iloka reportedly received serious interest from the Atlanta Falcons, New York Giants, Detroit Lions, and Minnesota Vikings leading up to the start of free agency, but the Bengals appeared determined to keep him off the market.

Cincinnati's other free-agent safety, Reggie Nelson, has also reportedly drawn interest from the Falcons and Vikings.

In 12 games last season, Iloka recorded 47 tackles, one interception, and four passes defensed.
