Report: Broncos haven't negotiated with Osweiler's reps since 3-year offer

Might the Denver Broncos and Brock Osweiler have reached a stalemate in their ongoing contract discussions?

The two sides haven't negotiated since Denver reportedly put a three-year offer worth more than $45 million on the table over the weekend, reports James Palmer of NFL Network.

A report from ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday indicated that the Broncos and Houston Texans were shaping up as the primary landing spots for Osweiler on the open market.

Houston enters the offseason with far more salary-cap flexibility than the Broncos. As the organization continues to seek a long-term answer at the most important position on the field, it's entirely possible that they'd do everything necessary to land their top target.

Then again, the appeal of returning to a team coming off a Super Bowl title could be a significant factor in Osweiler's decision.

Osweiler started seven games for the Broncos over the second half of the 2015 season. He completed 61.8 percent of his passes while throwing for 1,967 yards, 10 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
