The Giants and Pierre-Paul (hand) agreed to terms of a one-year contract Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Analysis:

Despite a reported late push for the unrestricted free agent from the Cardinals, Pierre-Paul will remain with the only organization that he's ever known on an incentive-laden deal. If he hits every threshold, he could earn $10.5 million, yet he wasn't extremely effective with his permanently-maimed right hand this past season, picking up one sack among 26 tackles (21 solo) in eight games. Further surgeries on the hand are expected throughout the offseason, which could impact his ability to take part in OTAs and the like.
