Romo is undergoing surgery on his left collarbone Tuesday, Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports.

Analysis:

Romo has opted for the Mumford procedure, which includes shaving the distal clavicle and reduces long-term stress on the collarbone. Knowing that, a recent CT scan must have revealed that he experienced a suitable amount of bone growth in his clavicle. Once the surgery is complete, his rehab is expected to encompass 6-8 weeks, meaning he has a great opportunity to participate in all OTAs once they kick off in May.
