Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther joked at the scouting combine about Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson poaching Cincinnati's free agents, and now it looks like that could happen.
A league source told Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com that the Browns will be pursuing Marvin Jones in free agency and envision him as their No. 1 or No. 2 wide receiver.
Jones played under Jackson when he was the Bengals' offensive coordinator and there is a mutual admiration between the two.
Jackson is also a fan of Bengals wide receiver Mohamed Sanu, who's also set to become a free agent, but prefers Jones's speed, according to Cabot.
In 13 games last season, Jones caught 75 passes for a career-high 816 yards and four touchdowns.
