The Buffalo Bills are reportedly preparing for the possibility that running back LeSean McCoy will miss several games in 2016.

McCoy is being investigated for his alleged involvement in a Feb. 7 incident that sent two off-duty police officers to the hospital.

On Tuesday, McCoy's attorney reportedly met with the district attorney of Philadelphia to discuss the incident. The original meeting was rescheduled after the details were leaked to media outlets.

"The Bills are planning as if LeSean McCoy will miss several games to begin next season," NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said on NFL Total Access.

McCoy rushed for 895 yards and three touchdowns in his first season with the Bills after being acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles last March.

Rapoport also reported that the Bills will add a running back through the draft or via free agency as a result of his legal problems.

As the roster is currently constructed, Karlos Williams would become the team's feature back if McCoy were suspended for a prolonged period.
