LeSean McCoy's meeting with the district attorney of Philadelphia was moved to a new location after being cancelled due to the media finding out the details, according to John Gonzalez of CSNPhilly.com.

McCoy and his attorney, Dennis Cogan, were slated to meet District Attorney Seth Williams early Tuesday, but wanted to avoid a "media circus" after news of the meeting leaked.

It was set to take place Tuesday afternoon at a location yet to be disclosed, sources told FOX Sports' Mike Garafolo.

McCoy and his attorney were spotted leaving the district attorney's office Tuesday evening:

Earlier in the day, Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police president John McNesby said the cancelled meeting was indicative of preferential treatment toward McCoy.

"If that's not preferential treatment, I don't know what is," he said.

However, a spokesperson for the district attorney refuted McNesby's assertion.

"This is not an issue of preferential treatment. This is an issue of conducting a thorough investigation," the spokesperson told Gonzalez.

McCoy is being investigated for his alleged involvement in a Feb. 7 incident that sent two off-duty police officers to the hospital.
