Wake is due to make $8.4 million this season which is a bit much for a defensive end coming off an Achilles injury. The Dolphins would like him back but at a reduced rate. It remains to be seen if Wake will give the team a discount or just call their bluff and see what his value would be on the open market should the team cut him.
