The NFL's No. 2 all-time leading wide receiver did not make the 2016 Pro Football Hall of Fame class.

Terrell Owens missed the cut during his first year of eligibility, tweeting the news ahead of the NFL's announcement on Saturday.

Owens finished his career with 15,934 receiving yards (second behind Jerry Rice) and 153 touchdowns (behind only Rice and Randy Moss). With several worthy eligible candidates, including Brett Favre, Orlando Pace, and Marvin Harrison, T.O. will have to wait at least one more year before being inducted.
