Former Oakland Raiders quarterback Ken Stabler and former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo Jr. were elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, according to Ann Killion of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Stabler was selected to four Pro Bowls over the course of his career and captured NFL MVP honors in 1974. During the 1976 season, Stabler led the Raiders to a 32-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI.

It will be a posthumous honor for Stabler, as he died on July 8, 2015 at the age of 69 due to colon cancer.

DeBartolo Jr. was the owner of the 49ers from 1977-2000, overseeing one of the greatest dynasties in NFL history. During his tenure, the 49ers won five Super Bowls and established themselves as one of the NFL's marquee franchises. In 2000, DeBartolo Jr. transferred ownership to his sister, Denise DeBartolo York.

Since taking over, Ms. DeBartolo transferred ownership to her son, Jed York.
