Report: Eagles postpone search for personnel chief until after draft

Howard Smith / USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles will delay their search for a top player-personnel executive until after the draft, Geoff Mosher of EaglesScoutingNest.com reports.

The Eagles have been without a top personnel figure since firing Chip Kelly and executive Ed Marynowitz. They are seeking someone to run their scouting department, but have run into problems finding candidates because other teams are unwilling to part with scouts and executives this deep into the free-agency and draft process.

Executive vice president of football operations Howie Roseman, senior director of player personnel Tom Donahoe, and new head coach Doug Pederson will direct the Eagles' actions in free agency and the draft.
