Report: Buccaneers plan to keep Vincent Jackson at full salary for 2016

Phil Sears / USA TODAY Sports

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are reportedly intent on keeping their receiving corps intact for 2016.

That includes bringing Vincent Jackson back at his full $9.77-million salary and $12.2-million cap hit, according to Scott Reynolds of Pewter Report.

Jackson is coming off his least productive season in five years with 33 catches for 543 yards and three touchdowns. He was also limited to 10 games due to injury after starting all 16 games in each of the previous four seasons.

Reynolds points to Jackson's leadership and experience in Dirk Koetter's offense, along with a relatively weak 2016 free agent market and draft class for wide receivers as reasons behind the Bucs' unwillingness to part ways with the 33-year-old.
