Eddie Lacy appears to be heading into the offseason with a specific goal in mind when it comes to cutting weight.

The Green Bay Packers want Lacy to lose 30 pounds before the 2016 campaign, and the running back is committed to getting it done, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

While there's no way to confirm the weight at which Lacy played throughout his disappointing 2015 season, he certainly appeared to be far heavier than years past.

Lacy checked into the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine at a relatively slender 231 pounds, and was on track to becoming one of the league's best running backs in the two seasons after joining Green Bay as a second-round pick.

Now coming off a year in which he was in and out of the starting lineup, managing just 758 yards and three touchdowns, however, the first step in recapturing that level of play is to enter training camp in peak physical condition.

Lacy regaining his Pro Bowl form would go a long way toward the Packers finding some much-needed balance on the offensive side of the ball next year.
