Ray Rice 'still hopeful' of 2nd chance

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice is still holding out hope that there's a team willing to give him a second chance.

Rice, who will serve as a running backs coach in Saturday's NFLPA Collegiate Bowl, told ESPN his 2014 domestic violence case taught him a lot about himself.

"It's been a humbling experience," he said. "Safe to say that I went through a lot of counselling, therapy, a total rehabilitation. I feel totally different now and I actually feel better now than I did when I was playing. I say that in all sincerity to everything that went on. I learned a lot about life, I learned a lot about myself, and I learned where I want to fit in."

The 28-year-old has been out of the NFL since being released by the Ravens in September 2014. Despite his declining production, Rice insists he has a lot of football left in him.

"I'm still hopeful. It's never over until it's over, and I'm not ready to give it up," he said. "I think that my second chance, it might take a little longer than I expected, but I know I still have a lot of game left, I'm not worried about that part of it."
