Chris Johnson vows to be on the field if the Arizona Cardinals make it to Super Bowl 50.

"God willing, we get there," the veteran running back told Tom Pelissero of USA TODAY Sports on Tuesday. "And then, it's showtime."

Johnson was among the NFL's leading rushers before being placed on injured reserve/designated in December with a fractured tibia. He isn't eligible to come off IR until after the NFC Championship Game.

In the meantime, Johnson has been taking scout team reps in practice and is focused on regaining trust in his leg.

"It's a difference when you're out there running straight ahead and running cuts like with the trainer," he said. "But when you actually get back to practice and are able to run plays and all that stuff, getting back the trust in it, it just feels good."

Johnson believes he could have played in the Cardinals' divisional-round win over the Green Bay Packers, though, and has no doubt he'll be ready for the Super Bowl, should Arizona advance.

"I'm playing," Johnson said. "I'm ready to go right now."
