Ben Roethlisberger: Expected to start Sunday

According to Sal Paolantonio of ESPN, Roethlisberger (shoulder) is expected to start Sunday's divisional round game in Denver.

Analysis:

Roethlisberger emerged from last Saturday's win at Cincinnati with an AC joint sprain as well as torn ligaments in his right shoulder, which predictably held him out of throwing drills both Wednesday and Thursday. However, he progressed enough to do "everything" asked of him Friday, including a "variety of throws." While he made the trip to the Mile-High City, he's scheduled for an evaluation by the Steelers' medical staff on Sunday morning, which will ultimately be his final hurdle to active status. Assuming he passes that test, he'll be down a pair of top playmakers, as Antonio Brown (concussion) and DeAngelo Williams (foot) have already been ruled out.
