Broncos' Miller blames mozzarella sticks for absence at practice Wednesday

With the Denver Broncos gearing up for a Super Bowl run, Von Miller may need to be more cautious about what he eats.

Miller went to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" on Tuesday, and began to feel ill during the film.

The Broncos' All-Pro linebacker attributed his sickness, which caused him to miss practice Wednesday, to mozzarella sticks he ate at the theater.

His teammates were bemused.

"I don't know what kind cheese was in those mozzarella sticks. Please don't eat them again," DeMarcus Ware said to Cameron Wolfe of The Denver Post. "I told him to just stick to the popcorn and the little Goobers."

Miller said he learned his lesson.

"Can't put regular gas in a Ferrari. I learned that," Miller said.
