Roethlisberger (shoulder) still isn't ready to do any throwing, but he will be on the field for parts of Thursday's practice, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.

Analysis:

The real test will come Friday, when the Steelers hope Roethlisberger can resume some form of throwing activities. He'll be listed as a limited participant on Thursday's practice report, but his ability to hand the ball off doesn't carry any real significance. Despite reports that Roethlisberger suffered torn ligaments in addition to an AC joint sprain, the Steelers remain hopeful that he will be available for Sunday's game in Denver. DeAngelo Williams (foot) is looking doubtful, with Antonio Brown (concussion) up in the air. The Steelers are surely glad to be playing on Sunday rather than Saturday.
