Carson Palmer: Finger not a concern

Palmer doesn't expect to be bothered by his previously dislocated right index finger throughout the playoffs, Kyle Odegard of the Cardinals' official site reports.

Analysis:

Palmer sustained the injury in Week 15 and tested a number of band-aids in an attempt to play through it. In doing so, one of the initial tape jobs forced a change in his throwing motion, causing fatigue in a lat muscle. While he fared well in the Cardinals' penultimate game of the regular season -- 18-for-27 passing for 265 yards versus the Packers -- he completed only 12 of 25 passes for 129 yards before departing Sunday's loss to the Seahawks at halftime. However, Palmer said that he's discovered the best remedy to deal with any lingering concerns and should be good to go once he takes the field in the divisional round on Jan. 16.
