Rams head coach Jeff Fisher said Gurley (foot) is dealing with a mild case of turf toe, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.

Analysis:

Turf toe is an unpredictable injury that often lingers for weeks even in seemingly minor cases, but with the Rams' season now concluded, Gurley should have more than enough time to recover for offseason activities in April and May. Despite playing behind a shaky offensive line, the No. 10 overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft averaged 4.8 yards per carry during his rookie season, finishing with 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns on 229 carries in 13 games. Although he only caught 21 passes for 188 yards on 26 targets, Gurley has the requisite skill set to add third-down duties to his workload in year two.
