The San Diego Chargers played what might be their last home game at Qualcomm Stadium on Sunday, a 30-14 win over the Miami Dolphins.

After the game, players emerged from the locker room to sign autographs for fans who stuck around. Safety Eric Weddle even took a moment to lie on the Chargers logo at midfield, ostensibly to contemplate his past with the team and uncertain future.

After potential last game at Qualcomm for anybody, Eric Weddle signed autographs for 2 hours, walked to the 50 and laid on his back.

As of Monday morning, that logo is gone:

The economic realities of pro sports are often very harsh. The Chargers are angling to relocate to Los Angeles and it appears only a minor miracle (in the form of a new stadium) will keep them in San Diego.

Of course, maybe this is all simply because Qualcomm Stadium will host the Poinsettia Bowl on Dec. 23 and the Holiday Bowl on Dec. 30.
