Sam Bradford won't talk about future with Eagles until offseason

Chip Kelly says he's excited about a future with Sam Bradford, but his quarterback isn't ready to commit to anything.

Asked this week if he has a future with the Philadelphia Eagles, Bradford avoided saying anything concrete.

"I'll get into that in the offseason. I'll think about that in the offseason," Bradford told Les Bowen of Philly.com. "I'm not too worried about what's going to happen three or four months down the line. We've got a big game this weekend against Arizona, that's what I want to focus on."

Bradford is scheduled to become a free agent after the season. Given there have been more lows than highs in his first season with the Eagles, it's hard to imagine the team paying the $20 million or so it would cost to use the franchise tag on him.

Pressed for more, Bradford admitted he appreciates Kelly's comments, but reiterated that it won't affect his decision about where to play next season.

"It's great to hear those things," Bradford said. "But I don't think that really means a whole lot or is going to change the way I approach things. I'm sure I'll pay more attention to that stuff in the offseason."

Bradford reportedly turned down a long-term contract extension worth $18 million per year with the Eagles before the season. He's expected to command far less than that in free agency.
