Giants' Donnell still dealing with neck injury: 'Obviously something is wrong'

New York Giants tight end Larry Donnell has expressed concern about his neck injury after missing the last two games.

Donnell, who sustained the injury in a Week 8 loss to the New Orleans Saints, underwent an MRI on Tuesday that revealed he's still not at full strength.

"We thought it was just spasms and a strain,” Donnell said to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News. "I feel fine now, but I mean, obviously something is wrong. So we've just got to figure it out and see what the process is.

"I thought I’d be OK by now. The plan was to go into the bye and it would be 100 percent. But it's not."

If Donnell sits out Sunday against the Washington Redskins, Will Tye will likely start once again.

Donnell recorded 29 receptions for 223 yards and two touchdowns prior to his injury.
